Quilted Sweater Testknit

Quilted Sweater by Julia Wilkens

Looking for Testknitters!

Testknit starts beginning of November. Ends mid January.

Hi everyone!

I am looking for testers for all sizes for a circular yoke pattern with quilted lattice stitch. I have developed with pattern with yarn by mYak.

Test starts beginning of november and finishes end of January (for Vogue Knitting Live New York). All communication about the testknit will take place on my Ravelry Forum Page.

If you would like to participate in this testknit send me an email to juliawilkensdesigns[at]gmail.com

Quilted is a circular yoke sweater knit from top down. The quilted lattice stitch is a fun and easy slip stitch which creates a beautiful net-like layer on top of the main color fabric. While working the yoke the number of slipped stitches is gradually increased. These slipped stitches are bundled into groups with each one yarnover. This way the contrast color strand is gradually elongated to reach over a growing number of knitted rows and “net” widens as the length of the yoke increases. The strand of contrasting color is held double throughout the yoke to accentuate the quilted lattice stitch.

Carol 1 + 2 Testknit

Testknit for Carol Starting Soon

Hello everybody!

With some delay I am starting the Carol testknit. I have been wanting to bring this pattern to a test state but then a couple of my patterns were accepted by magazines and this one ended on a bit of a backburner.
Good news is that it gave me the time to brew up a 2nd version of Carol (because why not) and I happen to like it (at least) as much as the 1st version.

I am looking for testers of all 8 sizes. If you would like to participate you can end me a personal message by Ravelry or email.

Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL

Measurements

Chest circumference: 37 (41, 45, 48, 53, 57, 61, 64)” / 94 (104, 114, 122, 135, 145, 155, 163) cm

To be worn with approx. 6” / 15 cm positive ease for chest and approx. 4” / 10 cm positive ease for sleeves.

Yarn weight:   Worsted weight yarn

For more details visit my Ravelry Forum Page.

Carol is worked from top down, starting with a ribbed high collar. Once the collar is finished, short rows are worked for a few rows. The circular yoke is then knit with several rounds of increases until the yoke is wide and long enough to separate into body and sleeves. Sleeves are slightly tapered towards the cuffs. The body is knit straight down, only the ribbing will give the body a gentle inward curve.

Carol comes in two versions: Charts for each stranded colorwork are interchangeable. The eyecatcher of Carol 1 is an Estonian Braid. Carol 2 comes with a fringy Loop Stitch highlighting the yoke section.

Test start: May 20, 2023
Test end: July 15, 2023
