Happy Hands

This winter I wanted to design a pattern for mittens. And once I got going there was not stopping. So now there are three models of Happy Hands. Available as single patterns on Ravelry and in my webshop. The bundle of all three patterns is avilable for 9 Euro in my webshop.

happy hands mittens fence

Fence.

The idea behind the design was to create a simple, straight forward shape which could work for a series of stranded colorwork patterns. Fence is the most simple to knit as the pattern repeat is airy with rows of plain stockinette between the stranded colorwork.

Happy hands barber

Barber.

Barber reminded me of a barber pole. I love stripes, so there definitely had to be a striped model. As these stripes are narrow and diagnoal the floats on the inside create a deliciously warm insulation layer.

Happy hands tiles

Tiles.

During the testknit Tiles was the most popular of the series. I think there is something soothing in stranded colorwork. This one uses a pattern of synchopated squares. It evens out the gauge beautifully. Super easy to remember but not as easy as it might look on first sight.
