Karo Shawl

For this triangle shawl the main color is worked throughout in garter stitch with a stunning graphic mesh worked along seemingly laying on top of the fabric. The fascinating, delicate one-stitch-intarsia is accomplished by knitting separate threads in contrasting color in cables. These stitches are cable-knit on every right side and slipped on every wrong side. Although the technique looks intricate it is easy to learn and soon turns into a soothing knitting rhythm.

"Karo" is the German word for "rhombus".
